Maria. Maria needs food. "Yeah, you better as hell pay for this," she said turning and pushing the cart to the checkout. She was finished for the day and was slightly feeling the nag to get piss drunk when Cameron and her would get back to the loft.

Cameron did pay, and he did take a lot of the bags. "Ready to go?" He turned to Maria, bags swinging in his arms.

'If you're ready to shut the fuck up,' she thought to herself, but really she just replied with a quick, "Sure," and started to head down the street. The rain had let up and so it turned out Maria didn't really needed to use it on the way back.

The two walked down the picture-esce street as the grey sky stretched far above them, spotted with post-rain spots of sun. They walked in a comfortable silence and Cameron thought. Spring was a good season for them. The flower shop. People started to remember spring, and the smell and hope that came with it. They placed flowers and plants in the corners of their rooms as little reminders.

The walk back managed to relieve Maria from her annoyance a little bit. The light smell of dew was fresh as the air felt, and thinking about dinner was making her giddy and even more famished. The door closed itself with a familiar click, and Javert welcomed the two back with a petite chirp.
